Sourced from Southern Queensland rum barrels displaying a smooth caramel and burnt sugar profile.
Soak 100g per litre of spirit as a general guide or to your personal taste.
We have found that 3 soakings gives the best results:
First Soaking: add entire 500g with 2.5 litre of spirit for 6-8 days and strain
Second Soaking: add 2.3 litres of spirit and leave for 10-24 days and strain
Third Soaking: add a further 2.3 litres of spirit and leave for 5-6 weeks and strain. This third run can be improved by add adding an essence.
